Our Mission
The mission of the Branch Hill United Methodist Church
is a focus on the preaching, teaching and sacrificial ministry of Jesus. We seek
to focus on Jesus as Master, Teacher, Healer, and Savior. We see Jesus as the
Master who makes sense of our sojourn on earth. We look to his teachings as the
keys to abundant living.
We have asked the question," Why do we exist as a
congregation?” We have answered,” To offer unconditional love and warm,
supportive fellowship in the unity of the Body of Christ.” As one of the many
smaller congregations in United Methodism our focus is on what we can do
effectively with limited human resources. It is the worship service that is
offered to those folks who prefer a smaller, historic tradition. We have an
ecumenical approach to worship, combining
elements of the joyous Wesley tradition with some of the worship elements
of Catholic, Lutheran, and other rich Protestant experiences. We are a
congregation of the open door, open mind and open hand.
